Configured To Your Needs
IGear configures its comprehensive cloud infrastructure and monitoring application to the specific needs of each OEM and its customer base. IGear has developed a broad set of product features and we begin by selecting the features and functionality that will add the most value to your organization and your customers. Below are key elements that we tailor to each OEM's machine portfolio and business model.
- Machine Data Collection: IGear has vast expertise in the area of machine communications, data collection, and data transport. At the beginning of the process, IGear works with each OEM to identify the key datapoints that are to be collected in addition to various communication protocols that are to be leveraged, that may include proprietary OEM protocols or industry standards such as OPC, MTConnect, Modbus, Serial, XML or text file, local database tables, etc. IGear's DTU product is commonly utilized in our OEM solutions to provide this capability in an expedient and reliable manner.
- Data Storage: IGear and the OEM may collectively choose to store anywhere between 20 and 6,000 datapoints per machine. The data may be stored for different lengths of time depending on the nature of each data point. Maintenance records and events may be stored indefinitely, while machine variables for ad hoc queries may be stored for only 30 days or less. IGear partners with each OEM to determine an optimized data storage strategy.
- Branding: There are many opportunities to private label and brand the user interface to the OEM's specifications.
- Data Presentation: IGear's Pulse product provides a comprehensive offering for presenting machine information in a useful and actionable format. Various widget types have been developed to convert raw machine data into informative views. Current widgets include: charts, gauges, data grids with filters and sorting, dynamic graphics, RSS feeds, YouTube embedded videos, document downloads, and more. These widgets are extremely useful for displaying machine status, trends, alarms, alerts, cycles, productivity, and utilization on both desktop and mobile platforms.
- Alerts: Both the OEM and end user are able to configure their own alerts by accessing the available machine datapoints and applying formulas and business rules in a user friendly manner. Alerts can be delivered via text, email, or within various widgets to make the user aware of various machine alarm conditions.
- Commercial Model: Each OEM may choose to offer this technology to their customer base in different ways. The product may be included in the machine warranty or with a service agreement. It may also be provided as a separate service with a monthly subscription. To accommodate different commercial models, IGear Pulse may be offered with various features enabled or disabled based on the specific end customer strategy. This allows an OEM to offer multiple editions of the product to maximize trial, adoption, and revenue. For example, these editions may include Standard, Trial, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Mobile, etc.
In summary, the IGear Pulse offering includes an extensive set of standard features at all levels of the infrastructure. The result is a valuable technology that is tailored to your machine, business model, and customer needs.
